If you want to hire a private guide for the ultimate rainforest learning experience experienced guides / naturalists give private tours. Elena has lived at the edge of the El Yunque rainforest for more than 20 years and is also a very knowledgeable mangrove guide. She would love to share this wonderful world with you. Elena studied marine science, sailed the Caribbean and operated a kayaking mangrove and biobay company in Vieques for many years.
Walk up through the rain forest to the observation tower in the dwarf forest. Your guide will show you the various aspects that make a rainforest important. Swim in a waterfall and pool! Extremely refreshing. We can then travel to the east coast and explore the trails through the mangrove canals or visit the Taino Indian petroglyphs. There are many ways to do this trip, please email for more information. 3 days advance reservations required. This is a private trip.

A. Mangrove walk and talk - Explore the forest and shoreline.
B. Taino Indian petroglyphs - swim in the river as well!
C. Biobay at night ( tour starts at 1 pm) Add $45. per person.
D. One of Luquillos beautiful beaches or Seven Seas Beach.
We meet and go straight to the rainforest then on to the 'add on' you have chosen. This is a PRIVATE tour ONLY. Please do NOT call me for only the biobay tour, I am not a biobay tour operator, I work with them when people want to add it on, only.

With a private guide there are so many places to explore in the forest, depending on your desire or ability to hike. you can see the Mt. Britton tower, visit a few quiet waterfalls and pools and jump in. With a group tour you must go to their specific destination and at their timing and you are always with another 30 people . . . hardly a very intimate experience with the forest.
