ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH A NATURALIST GUIDE: Elena moved to Puerto Rico at the age of three and has explored most of it many times when she worked as a location scout for various photographers and agencies. In the 70's she sailed the Caribbean from St. Thomas to Grenada. Sometimes working as a sailboat captain. Elena studied oceanography and art and taught art to children in several schools. She also was a potter for some time. She is a most avidly a photographer and the photos on her three websites ( all unless otherwise credited) are hers. Eight years ago Elena started a kayak ecotours company in Vieques and applied her studies in oceanography to learning and teaching about the bioluminescent bay. Elena is an avid student of Puerto Rican History but concentrates mainly on the ecology of the mangroves, coral reefs and biobays at present. Elena is semi-retired but offer a private charter snorkeling trip 3 days a week, together with Captain Mingo and his boat 'Punta Brava'. Elena no longer offers any tours in Vieques nor in the biobay. Other companies do offer biobay kayak tours. Above all Elena loves to Travel in India and has done so 8 times.. sometimes for a year. The Indian Himalayas are her favorite place to be..
