Our 'signature trip' is an exclusive trip with a boat and a guide all to yourselves. The basic boat charter is for up to five people and is $550.*
We offer the boat, captain and a snorkeling guide who goes in the water with you. You bring your own sandwiches and drinks, we provide a cooler with ice.
We visit the turquoise isles just off Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Fish, corals and exquisitely colored clear waters with white coral sands are what Caribbean dreams are made of. Our very personal attention, snorkeling at your own pace with a guide in the water with you, all contribute to a terrific day. Lots of sun, lots of reef, little islands all in a row. exclusive trip with a boat and a guide is quite different than what other people offer, the catamarans holding 50 to 70 people is much cheaper of course. We meet in Fajardo which is a one hour drive east of San Juan.
*This private charter of 4 hours on the water with a snorkling guide costs $475. for 4 persons...for 2 persons the cost is $375. First time snorkelers will stop at a shallow, incredibly clear water spot where we try out our gear and learn 'the ropes', after which we move on to a deeper spot where the fish are waiting to be fed! What an incredible experience. Guests comment how much it is like jumping into a fish tank, with the fish. This tour operates on weekdays only. Experienced snorkelers will go directly to the many reefs.
**NEW If you are experienced snorklers we can offer a 2 hour tour for up to 4 persons ( without a guide, but the captain knows where to go.) for $275. but this is not for beginners!
***Walk on the Wild side of Icacos with Elena! $75. per person. We get dropped off by boat on the back side of Icacos Island, swim, explore, cross over the rocks to the next rocky bay where the waves break. Enjoy the very private beach then walk around to the front side where we can swim again until we are picked up by boat and return to the dock.
---- Signature 4 hour snorkeling Trip:
Our first snorkeling stop, Icacos, is a 15 minute boat ride from the dock. Next stop, Lobos reef, has a school of Blue Tang waiting for us to feed them! They swim right up to the boat and will follow us around the reef as we snorkel.
After feeding the fish, experienced snorkelers may follow Elena on a 'drift snorkel trip' where the boat drops us off 'up current' and we slowly drift down over masses of coral heads, fish, gorgonians and staghorn corals. The boat is always near us and we move on to our next stop when we are ready. Our trip is always weather dependent , we won't snorkel anywhere rough, which exact reefs we visit depends upon the direction of the wind and waves. There is always a calm spot, usually everywhere Although the months of September and August can be miserably hot, they are wonderful for snorkeling!
